The only issue the Pac-12 may have with that network plan
is the Pac-12 may want more access/exposure to the eastern markets. Would the ACC be willing to give the Pac-12 some of its time slots? By joining forces with the ACC, the Pac-12 knows it will have more exposure to the eastern markets. Whereas the Pac-12's current model doesn't have that same guarantee so it may not be as worried about the level of exposure in the eastern markets. If someone on the east coast decides to pay extra to gain access to the Pac-12 Network, then great. If not, then the Pac-12 has neither gained or lost anything.
